                      Ranggawarsita Museum

             Ranggawarsita Museum located on the Abdulrachman Saleh Street. This museum is the most complete museum in Semarang. Ranggawasita Museum have 59.814 collection. Which divided into 10 types, such as; geology, archeology, history, filology, numismatic, heraldika, chramology, technology, ethnographic, and art.

             Ranggawarsita Museum built on the 2 hectares area. This museum was built in 1975 and inaugurated in 1989. The architect is Mr. Totok Rusmanto. Ranggawarsita Museum name, comes from the name of Javanesse poet who lived in the 19^th century, which also astrologers of Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta.

             Ranggawarsita Museum has 4 exhibition building, each of which has a different collection. A building store relics of the stone age man, such as; rocklike and ancient human fossil. While, building B keeps a collection relating to the entry of Moslem and the colonial era. Here, there is also a collection of pottery and batik. C building into a special room of diorama. In this building can be viewed 8 diorama scenes of historic national struggle. The letter is building D, stored objects of art, such as; kuda lumping, barongan, wayang, etc.

             Ranggawarsita Museum has many more facilities, there is a library,who has many books, about culture and education. Audio room play many folktile from middle java. Apresiation room also build to present  culture festival.
